Better Medicare Alliance Encourages Commitment to Value-Based Care Under New HHS, CMS Leaders

Washington, D.C. (November 30, 2016) – Better Medicare Alliance (BMA) President and CEO Allyson Y. Schwartz, released the following statement in response to the appointments of Dr. Tom Price to the role of Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), and Seema Verma to the role of Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS):

“Better Medicare Alliance congratulates Congressman Tom Price on his appointment as Secretary of Health and Human Services and Seema Verma as Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

“As a Member of Congress and an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Price brings both a depth of experience and commitment to health care reform, as well as a keen knowledge of the legislative process to his new position.
