Better Medicare Alliance Statement on 2024 Medicare Advantage Final Rule
WASHINGTON — Better Medicare Alliance, the nation’s leading research and advocacy organization supporting Medicare Advantage, today released the following statement in response to the release of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) 2024 Medicare Advantage Final Rule:
“Better Medicare Alliance shares CMS’ commitment to strengthening Medicare Advantage’s value-based, person-centered care for the 31 million seniors and individuals with disabilities it serves,” said Mary Beth Donahue, president and CEO of Better Medicare Alliance. “CMS’ final policy rule for 2024 will support Medicare Advantage’s efforts in bridging the health equity gap and providing high-quality care. Further, we support provisions to streamline the prior authorization process to ensure timely access to care as well as steps to ensure transparency and accountability within Medicare Advantage. We appreciate CMS’ efforts, and we look forward to continued partnership to ensure Medicare Advantage continues offering high-quality, affordable care and benefits tailored to meet the health needs of Medicare Advantage beneficiaries.”
