Letter: More than 60 Organizations Warn No UPCODE Act Would Raise Costs and Cut Benefits for Millions of Seniors
More than 60 of BMA’s ally organizations, representing providers, community groups, minority health advocates, and aging services leaders from across the country are voicing serious concerns about the No UPCODE Act in a new letter to Congress. They warn that the legislation would undermine care coordination, reduce in-home health assessments, and compromise the preventive and supplemental benefits that millions of seniors count on.
As policymakers evaluate this bill, it’s critical that any reforms center around the needs of beneficiaries and support high-quality, affordable coverage for the 35 million people enrolled in Medicare Advantage.
