Better Medicare Alliance Statement on MedPAC’s June 2026 Report to Congress
WASHINGTON — Better Medicare Alliance (BMA) issued the following statement today from Mary Beth Donahue, President and CEO of Better Medicare Alliance, on the release of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission’s (MedPAC) June 2026 Report to Congress:
“MedPAC’s conclusions on Medicare Advantage payment are incomplete and rely on outdated data. That risks policy decisions that could disrupt coverage for the more than 35 million beneficiaries who choose the program. CMS’s own analysis, using MedPAC’s methodology, shows that Medicare Advantage coding is more aligned with the Medicare fee-for-service program than MedPAC’s estimates suggest. BMA believes policymakers need comprehensive, up-to-date data to make decisions that best serve beneficiaries.”
