Better Medicare Alliance Statement on CMS Innovation Center Strategy to Make America Healthy Again
WASHINGTON — Better Medicare Alliance, the nation’s leading research and advocacy organization supporting Medicare Advantage, responded today to the CMS Innovation Center’s new strategy to Make America Healthy Again:
“Medicare Advantage is innovating to deliver better health outcomes at lower cost to beneficiaries,” said Mary Beth Donahue, President and CEO of the Better Medicare Alliance. “We applaud the CMS Innovation Center’s new strategic plan—including its focus on prevention, beneficiary empowerment, and reducing administrative burdens—and its recognition of the role Medicare Advantage plays in delivering more coordinated, value-based care.
“These are priorities Medicare Advantage has long delivered on, and we’re glad to see them reflected in today’s announcement. We support efforts that improve the beneficiary experience and give individuals the tools and information they need to choose the coverage that’s right for them.
“As CMMI explores new models, it’s critical they build on what works. We look forward to working with CMS and the Administration to ensure innovation continues to support the 34 million Americans who rely on Medicare Advantage for affordable, high-quality, and coordinated care.”
