Better Medicare Alliance Responds to 2027 Medicare Advantage Star Ratings Announcement
WASHINGTON — Better Medicare Alliance (BMA) today released the following statement in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) release of the 2027 Medicare Advantage Star Ratings data:
“More Medicare Advantage beneficiaries will be enrolled in high-quality plans next year. That’s good news for seniors heading into open enrollment, and it reflects years of steady work by plans and providers to improve care,” said Mary Beth Donahue, President and CEO of Better Medicare Alliance.
“That work depends on clear standards, set well in advance and applied consistently. We look forward to working with CMS to keep the Star Ratings program focused on what matters most to seniors: better health outcomes, affordable care, and a positive experience with their health plan. Seniors count on Star Ratings to choose their coverage. They deserve a system that’s just as dependable.”
