BMA Statement On 2024 Medicare Advantage Advance Notice
WASHINGTON – Better Medicare Alliance, the nation’s leading research and advocacy organization representing a diverse coalition of stakeholders supporting Medicare Advantage, issued the following statement today after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued its 2024 Medicare Advantage Advance Notice.
“It is absolutely critical to protect the stability of this vital part of the Medicare program and safeguard the affordable, high-quality care and valuable benefits that more than 30 million Medicare Advantage beneficiaries depend upon daily,” said Mary Beth Donahue, president and CEO, Better Medicare Alliance. “The Advance Notice that CMS released today proposes multiple complex technical changes, including significant changes to the risk adjustment model. The Better Medicare Alliance is working to conduct a thorough review of CMS’s Advance Notice provisions to fully understand their impact on the coverage and care of more than 30 million Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. We look forward to a thoughtful discussion with policymakers on these proposals.”
