BMA has over 112,000 advocates in our coalition representing all 50 states. The states with the largest number of BMA Advocates include: Texas, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, and Florida. The 3 cities with most BMA Advocates are Houston, Dallas, and Philadelphia.

Our senior advocates are racially, socio-economically, and geographically diverse, with beneficiaries represented in both rural and urban areas across the country.

In addition to the advocates in our database, we also have over 280,000 followers on Facebook who interact with us and one another over 1,000 times each week on average. There are 427 BMA Ambassadors, our group of all-star advocates, who consistently engage with BMA in support Medicare Advantage. BMA Ambassadors also have their own private Facebook page, where they engage in Medicare Advantage policy discussions, share their stories, and sign up for monthly conference calls with BMA staff.

Our advocates have been successful in having their voices heard in Washington by submitting letters to Members of Congress, signing petitions, having Letters to the Editor published in their local newspapers, making phone calls, and visiting Capitol Hill – among other various advocacy activities that we outline each month.
