HHS Secretary Becerra Commits to Protecting Medicare Advantage

Earlier this year, a bipartisan roster of 70 Members of Congress in districts with 50% or higher Medicare Advantage enrollment, led by Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), wrote to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra urging him to protect Medicare Advantage for the millions of beneficiaries who rely on its care.

In a recent response to their letter, HHS Secretary Becerra commits to “safeguard Medicare Advantage so that it remains a strong, successful program” and promises to ensure that “seniors and people with disabilities will continue to have access to a wide selection of Medicare Advantage plans and affordable premiums.”
