Quality

In Medicare Advantage, plan quality is measured on a Star Rating System based on performance on various process, outcome, and satisfaction measures. Plans receive an annually updated Star Rating, on a 1-5 Star scale, and their rating is public to beneficiaries. Star Ratings are tied to Medicare Advantage payment to incentivize improvements for beneficiaries and support quality goals for Medicare.
